Lakeland was unable to play its baseball game against Rhinelander on Thursday or Friday due to the snow still on the field at Lakeland Union High School.
This is Wisconsin. Only here would we be worried about getting snow in April, and that we did. The Thursday blanket took out all sports not only on Thursday, but Friday as well, affecting Mercer track, Lakeland baseball and soccer.

The Mercer track team was scheduled to make the trek to Oconto Falls on Thursday for an all day meet, but that area was hit with snow as well, canceling the event.

The Thunderbirds girls' soccer team was also scheduled to play Thursday night, against Mosinee on the road. The game is now rescheduled to be played on Monday, May 15 at Mosinee.

Baseball was pushed back not once, but twice this week due to the weather. Originally scheduled for Thursday against the Hodags, the game was quickly pushed back to Friday night.

But field conditions at the Lakeland Union High School baseball field were less than playable Friday, sending the game even further back on the schedule to Monday, May 8, still to be played at Lakeland.
