On Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, Arleigh Ashton peacefully passed away at her Estes Park home just shy of her 87th birthday. Born in Green Bay, she lived most of her life in Boulder Junction, part of the great Northwoods of Wisconsin. She shared many interests with her husband of nearly 69 years, Dick, including fishing, boating, snowmobiling and cross country skiing. They were also involved in the town’s historical society.

Arleigh and Dick moved to Elizabeth, Colo., in 2004 to be closer to their daughter Kathie and son Scott. Perhaps the adventure of a lifetime was when they moved to Estes Park, Colo., in 2013 in the midst of historic flooding.

Arleigh was a very caring, strong, energetic and creative woman who rarely left things undone. She lived a life we all strive for, happy and fulfilling and she had the gift of love throughout her long life. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by husband Richard Ashton, daughter Kathleen (William) Fitzgerald, son Scott (Linda) Ashton, grandchildren Quint (Tasia) Ashton and Chantel Wood, as well as great grandchildren Sunny Ashton and Tyler and Kate Wood. Arleigh was preceded in death by two of her sons, Mark and Gary Ashton. Burial will be in Boulder Junction. Please visit www.allnutt.com to leave a message for the family.
