Howard Young Medical Center to Host Community Health and Wellness Fair
(Woodruff, WI) &ndash Howard Young Medical Center will be hosting a community Health and Wellness Fair Saturday, October 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. inside the hospital located at 240 Maple Street in Woodruff.
The health fair will feature FREE health screenings and the opportunity to meet new Ministry Medical Group providers. Visitors will also see the da Vinci ® Surgical System, the latest technology in robotic surgery.
Ministry&rsquo s robotic surgery program is the first to be available in the Northwoods. This technology is a significant investment in the future of health care in this region. Physicians are able to practice minimally invasive robotic assisted surgery in Woodruff, eliminating the need for inconvenient travel for patients and their families. Appointments are not necessary and the FREE screenings are available on a first come first serve basis. Cholesterol patients must be 18 years of age and older. Results from the cholesterol panel will be mailed to participants.
&ldquo We are really looking forward to this event because it gives us an opportunity to interact with the community and provide free health services,&rdquo said Ministry Howard Young Health Care President Sheila Clough. &ldquo Being informed about your health care and the services offered locally is the most important step you can take for living a healthy and active life.&rdquo Howard Young Medical Center, Marshfield Clinic in Woodruff, and community partners will be available with health and wellness information.
