The Oneida County Humane Society invites you to Hike for Homeless Pets. Come out and enjoy a beautiful trail, a fun time with friends, family and pets and help the animals at the Humane Society! Anyone can participate! A commemorative hike t-shirt will be awarded to those who collect $20 or more in donations/pledges. Prizes will be awarded to those who raise the most money as follows: 1st prize: horseback riding at the Rock Falls Riding Stable and lunch for four at the Thirsty Whale 2nd prize: family bike rental from BJ&rsquo s Sport Shop and ice cream certificates 3rd prize: $25 gift certificate from Mel&rsquo s Trading Post, water bottle and treats. All participating pets will receive a free bandana.
Join us onSunday, June 23, 2013at the McNaughton Trail from1 pmto4 pm, rain or shine. Bring your leashed pets, favorite insect repellent, water bottle and waste bag. Then choose the length of your hike, ranging from one mile to 5.5 miles. The McNaughton Trail is three miles north of McNaughton on Highway 47, then west on Killdare Road. Restroom facilities are available.
Download a pledge form at www.ochspets.org or pick one up at the Oneida County Humane Society Adoption Center at 1852 N. Stevens Street in Rhinelander. All proceeds from the event will benefit the animals waiting for new families at the Adoption Center.
