Celebrate Wild Instincts with a "Walk in the Wild" Fundraiser
On Saturday, September 28th, 9-noon, rain or shine, you are invited to participate in a 2.5 mile "Walk in the Wild" at the North Lakeland Discovery Center. Bring your family, friends and co-workers. Leashed dogs are welcomed but not required. Enjoy the beautiful trails and fall
color while raising funds to help the non-profit Wild Instincts wildlife rehabilitation center located in Rhinelander. Co-founders Mark Naniot and Sharon Larson have been helping Northwoods wildlife since 1996 and have treated more than 11,500 wild animals from over 100 different
species. Wild Instincts is the only facility in Wisconsin permitted to treat ALL native Wisconsin wildlife. Won't you help us help them?
Wild Instincts t-shirts will be awarded to those who collect $100 or more in pledges/donations!! All participants will receive a free bottle of water and treats for their dogs.There will also be a bake sale, hot cider, and a raffle prizes.
The North Lakeland Discovery Center is located at 215 County Hwy W Manitowish Waters, WI 54545. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. There will be a registration fee of $20 for each participant. A pledge/donation form can be downloaded at ww.wildinstinctsrehab.com or at www.discoverycenter.net. All proceeds from this event go to Wild Instincts for the care, treatment, and release of wildlife in the northwoods and surrounding areas.
