Crews are planning nighttime closures of the northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 51 next week.
The closures are necessary for crews to set girders for the new Lincoln County C/North Star Road overpass in the town of Merrill.
The first closure is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Monday, July 22, and will last until midnight. During the first closure, northbound and southbound Hwy. 51 traffic will be detoured via County Highway K.
Crews will close the northbound lanes of Hwy. 51 Tuesday, July 23, from 6 p.m. until midnight. During this closure only the northbound Hwy. 51 traffic will be detoured via County K.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution and allow extra time to avoid any delays.
The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
