To the Editor:
One believer scrambled around, mumbling and grumbling, frantically trying to take care of all the work by herself.
The other believer sat at the feet of Jesus and heard His Word. (Luke 10)
Which of the two believers do you think was able to obey this command of Christ’s: “Be [worried or anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
I’d say the second believer, wouldn’t you?
P.S. To the unbeliever ...
Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me ... Ye must be born again ... Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit ... For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
If you have heard Jesus knocking at the door of your heart, won’t you open up and let Him in, before it’s too late? With Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you, too, can know peace. (Verses from John 14:5-7 and John 3)
