'Witch-hunting sore losers'

To the Editor:

The witch-hunting sore losers continue to do what they do best. For the Democrats in Congress that means full time relentless undermining and obstructionism of President Trump and his cabinet. They have no interest whatsoever in doing the work they were placed in office to so for the American people. They are obsessed with that goal, and it keeps them awake at night, scheming and plotting for their next bogus accusations even though they know they are groundless without merit. If I were a Democrat I would be thinking "enough already" and show some backbone to the people who elected you. It's gotten to be a joke, a pitiful display of ultra-partisanship.

I've been around for a dozen or more elections and have never seens anything like this extraordinary bitterness and pettiness. If it is the intention of the Democratic Party to implode they couldn't be doing a better job of doing that. But I think they have met their match in Donald Trump - he is shaking up the status quo like no other before him. Will they pause long enough to ask themselves if this is what they really wanted to do before they have no party left?

And if, as we have heard, they are enlisting the "help" of Barack Obama, they would do well to remember who it was that got them to this point.
