We, the youth and adults of the Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew #564, would like to thank all of you who donated to our past aluminum can drives, scrap aluminum and copper collections and our vehicle, marine and lawn equipment battery collections. Your support has been wonderful. We have been able to take a week long trip for the past three years. Six of us have canoed a portion of the North Fork of the Flambeau River, and six have backpacked 35 miles of the Superior Hiking Trail, and this year eleven of us did a kayak trip in the Apostle Islands. We will be deciding on our 2018 trip soon.
Watch for our upcoming collection dates this fall, beginning in late September to early November. We will be collecting in the following communities. Boulder Junction, Hazelhurst, Lake Tomahawk, and Woodruff.
We donate a portion of our aluminum can funds to the Northwoods Wildlife Center. These collections help to benefit two organizations.
If you know of any youth ages 14-21 that would be interested in joining our crew, please contact us. For information check out the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce site.
