We need a change this November

To the Editor:

I live in a county that Congressman Paul Ryan (VP candidate) represents.

I have been to over a dozen of his town hall meetings. I have seen gyms and auditoriums filled with apprehensive seniors listen to Ryan as he addresses where America was, is now, and where it’s headed.

When he concludes, he always gets a standing ovation. He tells us how his plans don’t change anything for those 55 and older and how those 54 and younger will still have a safety net. Medicare is going broke and Ryan has proposed a budget for America.

We need bold leaders that are willing to address the problems we face. Ryan is a man of answers and solutions. This country has a spending problem but Democrats have not come up with a serious budget in over three years. Ask them where’s their budget, where’s their plan to fix Medicare and they will answer, We don’t have one. We just don’t like Ryan’s.

It’s time to put in leaders that will not kick the can down the road. That’s why we need to make a change this November, before it’s too late.

Kay-The cold, hard truth is, you will never help America by punishing the rich. Politicians can only give them two choices. Either plow their money into the productive, job creating economy and watch money flow into the treasury, or park it on the sidelines, defer income and collect it from tax-free bonds. There is no third choice. This is what Mitt Romney understands and President Obama does not. Lets hope the voting public will not be duped by senseless rhetoric about taxing "millionaires and billionaires" in order to solve our problems. It won't.

4 more years??? This great country can hardly stand 4 more weeks of the "empty suit in the empty chair". Our Bush blaming Campaigner in Chief is so clueless he is more focused on Big Bird than all the problems he has failed to address in 3.5 years. Kay has managed to get all sorts of facts confused with her Democratic talking points. Perhaps she should do a little research on the Community Reinvestment Act, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Fannie/Freddie & the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act if she really wants to understand why the economy tanked. So Kay, since you endorse tax HIKES, how much is enough??? Like a good liberal, they never have an answer but it's never enough. Class warfare is all you got and it's a tired act. I feel sorry for the Kay's of the world...jealousy, petty and angry.

Yes, Mr. Head of the Republican Party Best, you would love Lyin Ryan. Ryan has done nothing for the U.S or his constituents. He was in the meeting the Republicans had the day of President Obama's inauguration that vowed to obstruct everything the new president put forward....mission accomplished. He also describes rape as a method of contraception and feels he needs to define it with the word "forcible" just in case the woman, or child, doesn't fight back hard enough. Doesn't support birth control either. He also thinks that a fertilized egg deserves personhood but wants to cut billions from anything that will help that egg become a productive member of society, all so he can give even more tax cuts to the wealthy.
FIX Medicare?...you have to be kidding...his voucher program will force it into bankruptcy, just like the Republicans intend it to...listen to the Tommy Thompson tape lately?
Ryan also wants to privatize Social Security...now there's a plan. That would have worked so well when Bush and Ryan wanted to do it right before the market and Wall Street crashed.
Speaking of Bush, Ryan also voted for everything that caused this country to go into a near second Great Depression...unfunded lies of wars, unfunded drug programs and TAX CUTS for the rich. Now he claims he's a budget hawk? I will say he makes a great partner for Etch a Sketch Romney.
When you have a bus full of nuns chasing you around protesting your "immoral" budget than you might just be a lying, immoral creep. Can't say I've ever heard of that before, have you Mr. Republican Party Leader????
