A vote for Fallone

To the Editor:

Anthony Scalia’s racial comment about the Voting Rights Act (VRA) confirms 2013 is not dissimilar from 1963. Extreme congressmen and senators call our president a liar, “food-stamp” president, and worse.

In 1963, JFK was alive. The Frank Koch-funded John Birch Society and the Ku Klux Klan had “good” enrollments. Desperate women were going to the back alleys. The Voting Rights Act was not a law. Jim Crow and poll taxes were just fine in the eyes of a large segment of the nation.

In 2013, there are the Charles and David Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity, ALEC, the Tea Party, the Club for Growth, and White Supremists groups. There is Scalia’s Supreme Court Citizens United decision. Now, the Supreme Court is considering throwing out the VRA. Tea Party legislatures are passing voter restrictions and causing long lines for minorities. Extreme legislatures are restricting women’s family planning and health care services.

Is this nation going backward to the injustices of 1963?

The U.S. Supreme Court and Wisconsin Supreme Court are important to the fabric of American justice. Wisconsin does not need extremists like “Citizens United” Scalia, “choke-hold” Prosser, or “Club for Growth” Roggensack. We need unbiased, even-handed justices. Vote for Fallone.

Chris,
You may be right regarding a woman's right to choose. Like you say, perhaps abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood are here to stay. However there are a vast majority of everyday folks who are outraged by the casual taking of human life for reasons not associated with saving the life of the mother, rape or incest. Say it like it is Chris "woman's right to CHOOSE to kill her unborn child". Doesn't sound so good when you finish the sentence, does it?

Once again the Democrats have lost an opportunity. This guy is a terrible candidate. Can't we simply get a moderate to run for office? And Bob, by moderate I mean someone who believes in a woman's right to choose. You seem to use the old Sean Hannity trick. In his eyes, if you support funding Planned Parenthood, you are Pro-Abortion. Nobody is pro-abortion Bob. Your days of dictating what a woman can do with her body are over my friend. This is a non-issue to most voters.
A candidate who makes abortion the cornerstone of their candidacy will surely lose.

Yah-A vote for a prior board member who funneled taxdollars and appointed a convicted Latin King Gang leader in Milwaukee, Modesto Fontanez. Modesto you see, after serving 8years for Latin King crimes figured out it was easier to make money by scaming taxpayers, so he put on a suit and started a 'community service non-profit organization', Latin Community Services in Miwaukee. Being a non-profit that relied on Community Deveolpment Grants(taxpayers) to assist poor latino's-One poor 18year old female approached Modesto for help, so this 43 year old community organizer and felon impregnates her-the result were twin boys, of which she killed one-the man who was the Chairman of the Board who had direct oversite of Latin Community Services? None other than Ed Fallone. Poor Modesto did return to prison, in Nevada after being convicted of major cocaine trafficing-Yah we want Ed on the States highest court where judgement should be the strongpoint.

Dan, we have a black president. How long does affirmative action have to go on? As for your reference to "restricting women's family planning", I assume you actually mean the taking of a human life while inside the womb. If Fallone is in favor of these two items, my vote goes to his opponent.

Thank you Mr. Holzman. You've got a good handle on what's going on in our country. A real struggle. Nancy Brennan
