Writer discusses minimum wage, 'income inequality'

To the Editor:

Our closet sequestered Marxist President is now bellowing, ranting, and pushing for a 40 percent hike in the minimum wage (from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour) to help rid our country of that horrible problem of “income inequality.” But who are these minimum wage workers that he so heroically wants to “save” from poverty?

It turns out that about one percent of the U.S. labor force earns the minimum wage, 55 percent are under age 25, and only 32 percent of those workers are actually full time employees. A Texas A&M University study found that “a ten percent increase to the minimum wage results in a reduction of approximately one-quarter of the net job growth rate.” Even a 2014 Congressional Budget Office study report shows an estimated 500,000 to 1,000,000 jobs to be destroyed by the enactment of the $10.10 minimum wage law across the country.

So who really benefits from a hike in the minimum wage? Labor unions love the idea of minimum wage hikes since they often times peg their union contracts to follow exactly the growth of the minimum wage; and therefore higher minimum wage translates to increased union monies spent on Democratic election campaigns. Otherwise this push for hikes in the minimum wage is simply more obnoxious false electioneering rhetoric designed to excite those millions of zero information Democratic voters.

Obama’s campaigning for hikes in minimum wage is merely a continuation of the long-term plan by Progressives to increase unemployment and grow the number of people totally dependent on Government for their existence. Their ulterior motive is to covertly apply the theory of eugenics to reduce the population of these “unemployables.” Sidney Webb, English economist and Co-Founder of the Fabian Socialist Society in the early 1900s, believed that establishing a minimum wage above the value of “the unemployables” as he called them, would lock them out of the market thus eliminating them as a class. He said, “Of all ways of dealing with these unfortunate parasites the most ruinous to the community is to allow them unrestrainedly to compete as wage earners.”

Princeton economist, Royal Meeker, U.S. Commissioner of Labor, under Woodrow Wilson said, “It is much better to enact a minimum-wage law even if it deprives these unfortunates of work, better that the state should support the inefficient wholly and prevent the multiplication of the breed than subsidize incompetence and unthrift, enabling them to bring forth more of their kind.”

The concepts of eugenics have been espoused by Democrats since its popularization at the beginning of the 20th century and supported by that ultimate Progressive, Woodrow Wilson. For those of you who are not familiar with the term, “eugenics,” it is a racist pseudoscience determined to wipe away all human beings deemed “unfit,” preserving only those who conformed to an elitist’s specific stereotype. After becoming solidly entrenched in the United States, California eugenicists aided in its transplantation to Germany where Hitler enthusiastically adapted it to formulate his planned extinction of Jews in his country.

We obviously have to ask Obama that painful question:

“What do you plan to do with that burgeoning class of unemployables whose only joy in life seems to be the continued act of procreation?”

Is a new deadly round of Progressive eugenics in the offing?
