Inga Lami 2014 Women's Day at Minocqua Winter Park

Calling women of all ages! Come celebrate women, outdoor winter fun, and delicious Norwegian food and entertainment at Minocqua Winter Park Saturday, Jan. 11. Get out of the house and enjoy winter wonderland. In the spirit of Inga Lami, a traditional Norwegian festival for women, join in celebrating the camaraderie of other women and silent sports in the Northwoods.

This year we are offering a unique skiing and snowshoe adventure on our back country trails, especially dedicated to women for the day. Take a group guided ski or snowshoe, or go exploring on your own during the day, and then enjoy a delicious Norwegian supper at the chalet.

After dinner you can call it “a day,” or head out on a group moonlight ski or snowshoe out to the candle lit “Tea House” for Norwegian sweets, music, storytelling and singing. Space is limited so sign up early.

Bring your skis, snowshoes and a friend. Rentals for skis and snowshoes are available at a discount. No need to know how to ski or snowshoe, everyone is welcome.

This is a fundraiser for MWP’s “Locals Learn to Ski for Free” Program. Costs for Inga Lami Day include a $14 ski pass and donations toward a delicious meal, entertainment, and fun. The recommended minimum is donation $25.

Don’t be shy, bring a friend, and join in a fun afternoon and evening with women at Minocqua Winter Park. “Style” points for traditional Norwegian and (un)traditional attire. We hope you to see you at Inga Lami 2014.

Register by emailing info@minocquawinterpark.org or by calling the Winter Park chalet at 715-356-3309.
