It's been a tough start of the week for Babe Ruth summer baseball as neither Lakeland team was able to play a complete game Monday or Tuesday.
The Prep team was able to start its game on Monday night at Merrill. However, the game was postponed during bottom of the fourth inning, while Lakeland led Merrill Gray 10-6. The game is scheduled to be completed on July 5 when Merrill Gray travels north to Minocqua.
The Senior team had an even tougher time, as its game Tuesday night against Merrill Blue never got off the ground. It was cancelled as Merrill didn't have enough space to play the game. The game has not been rescheduled as of yet.
The Prep team played Wednesday at home against Tomahawk Gold after deadline. Its next game will be at home on Monday against Crandon.
Senior took on Laser Pros International Thursday night after deadline. Its next game will also be Monday, competing against Crandon on the road.
