Lakeland Union High School will host an athletic enhancement camp for incoming eighth-twelfth graders looking to improve their athletic abilities.
The focus will be to improve your athletic prowess, athletic abilities, build confidence, character, heart, work ethic, attitude, discipline, the ability to overcome adversity, belief in yourself, responsibility, camaraderie, pride, and leadership.
Each camp participant will take part in an active warm-up, speed and agility work, the LUHS Strength Program, a metabolic workout, and some type of sport specific work.
The camp is staffed by coach Mike Wilhelm (PE/Health Teacher/Head Baseball coach), coach Eric Bieszk (PE/Health Teacher/Assistant Football and Track Coach), and other LUHS coaches.
The camp meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (except the week of June 31-July 2 when it meets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and runs June 9-13 from 4-6 p.m., June 16-July 2 from 6:45-8:45 a.m., and July 7-August 14 from 6:45-8:45 a.m.
LUHS facilities, including the fieldhouse, weightroom and athletic fields will be in use for the camp.
The camp costs $30, and each participant will receive a camp T-shirt. Make checks payable to Lakeland Union High School.
