LUHS boys 4x800-meter relay team wins WIAA Division 2 state track title
The Lakeland Union High School boys' 4x800-meter team earned a Gold Medal this morning at the WIAA Division 2 State Track and Field Meet being held in La Crosse this weekend. LUHS freshman Emily Scott also earned a third place in the high jump.

Lakeland baseball falls in playoffs

A six-run fourth inning was too much for the Lakeland baseball team to overcome Tuesday night as the Thunderbirds’ season came to an end in the opening round of the playoffs with a 13-2 loss to Wittenberg-Birnamwood. (Subscriber access)

Lakeland golf season ends at sectionals

T-Birds rack up all-conference selections
The Great Northern Conference released the spring all conference selections for baseball, softball and girls’ soccer Tuesday, adding to the prior selections determined by end-of-season results for track and field, golf, and boys’ tennis. Lakeland earned 62 total spots on all-GNC teams.

17 T-Birds garner spring all conference honors

The Great Northern Conference released the spring all conference selections for baseball, softball and girls’ soccer Tuesday, and 16 Lakeland athletes were awarded 17 all conference selections. A pair of T-Bird seniors also took home player of the year honors.

Twelve T-Birds headed to WIAA D-2 state and field track championships

The weather was horrible and the conditions far from ideal, but for the second time in four days, the Lakeland Union High School boys’ and girls’ track teams dealt with their compartition and Mother Nature to qualify a total of 12 individuals for the WIAA Division 2 Track and Field Championships starting this coming Friday.
