Mercer head coach Robyn Schoeneman was voted the Indianhead Conference Coach of the Year, as the Lady Tigers went 9-0 to win the conference title. Five Mercer players were selected to the all-conference teams.
Mercer Public School won its first Indianhead Conference volleyball championship since 2001.
The Lady Tigers finished the season 19-3-2 overall, including 9-0 in conference play, along with their second consecutive WIAA Division 4 Regional title before bowing out in the sectional semifinals to Shell Lake in an exhilarating five-set match.
As a result of its successful season, Mercer racked up a wealth of postseason awards in the Indianhead Conference.
Mercer head coach Robyn Schoeneman was selected as the conference's coach of the year, while five of the team's six starters were named all-conference.
Junior Bailey Thompson was named first-team all-conference after leading the team with 391 digs, while also recording 219 kills and 44 aces.
Sophomore Ella Torkelson was also a first-team honoree in her first season as the starting setter. Torkelson registered a whopping 794 assists, along with 222 digs and a team-high 58 aces.
Aubrey Schoeneman had a big sophomore campaign and was selected to the second-team, leading the team with 286 kills, while also tallying 198 digs and 21 aces.
Sophomore Jessica Klopatek was an honorable mention All-Indianhead performer in her first season as a starter. Klopatek finished with 198 digs, 110 kills and 21 aces.
Meanwhile, Ava Barton was also named honorable mention in her first varsity season. The freshman had 254 digs, 79 kills and 48 aces.
