The Lakeland girls ended Tomahawk's run of 11 straight conference titles and the boys won their fifth consecutive title at the Great Northern Conference cross country meet in Antigo today.
Lauren Schiling was the individual champion for the girls, running a time of 15:30.9. Katie Klappa took second in 15:45.5, and Nicole Gilman finished fourth in 16:23.3. Morgan Courtney took ninth place, giving Lakeland four top-10 finishers.
Andrew Schilling took second overall for the boys, running the course in 16:50.0. Will Bodewes took seventh in 17:39.3, and Dylan Ouimette and Mack FitzPatrick took tenth and eleventh.
