Playing for the inaugural Northwoods Axe rivalry trophy against Rhinelander, Lakeland saw it's chances of winning grow slim late in the fourth quarter. With about a minute on the clock, the Hodags were set with first and goal from the one-yard line, looking to score a game-tying touchdown and convert a go-ahead extra point as Lakeland clung to a 20-14 lead.
