Soccer falls in GNC match against Ashland 3-1

Lakeland Union High School needed a bounce back game after its hopes for a Great Northern Conference championship evaporated with a loss to Medford on Feb. 17.

LUHS girls' hoops finish GNC undefeated
It was a good weekend to be a Lakeland girls' basketball fan. The team extended their winning streak to 15, while simultaneously finishing Great Northern Conference play undefeated by defeating Medford 72-56. Lakeland also took down Crandon 66-34 for their 15th straight victory. (subscriber access)

T-Bird gymnasts place third at GNC small school meet
It likely wasn't a surprise that the two teams in contention for the title at the Great Northern Conference Gymnastics Championships in Mosinee on Saturday were Medford and Rhinelander, but at the beginning of the season, not many would have predicted that Lakeland Union High School would have been on their heels. T-Bird girls clinch GNC title
ANTIGO - Even with three games remaining on their schedule, the Lakeland girls' basketball team will finish the season on top. The Thunderbirds clinched their Great Northern Conference title Friday night with a 65-47 victory over Antigo on the road.
