Local fishing report
Ice conditions have been good. I haven’t heard of anyone falling through. We have a pretty good base out there with 12-16 inches of ice pretty much wherever you go. The problem right now is slush. (Public access)

Proposal addresses loss of Minocqua walleye
A crowd of more than 70 locals gathered in the Minocqua Community Center board room on Jan. 13 to learn the details of and offer feedback on a proposed 10-year study on the Minocqua chain of lakes walleye population presented by the Headwaters Basin Chapter of Walleyes for Tomorrow and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Minocqua chain walleye plan to be unveiled Jan. 13
