Minocqua Dance (MQD) Studio owner Dana Bostrom and staff are thrilled to offer a 16th dance season to students interested in learning the art of dance.
MQD is now open for enrollment with classes available in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical and contemporary styles of dance along with new offerings of hip hop, musical theater, twinkle toes and a performance company.
The studio also provides drop-in classes for tumblers and fitness and dance classes for teens and adults.
Those interested are invited to their open house at 8123 Northern Road in Minocqua Thursday, Aug. 28, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
This will provide an opportunity to complete registration and meet and greet their dance instructors.
Another exciting development for MQD is the hiring of Sarah Bromann, their new studio director and dance instructor.
Bromann began her training at the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet in Wausau, dancing in many roles, such as the Dew Drop Fairy and the Snow Queen in “The Nutcracker” and the title role of “Sleeping Beauty.”
With the Wausau Dance Theatre, she performed in Germany. She received her BFA in dance with honors from UW-Milwaukee, has danced with City Ballet Theatre and was a company member of Your Mother Dances for four years. In 2011, she had the privilege of being cast in the film Missed Connections, which premiered at the Milwaukee Film Festival.
For two years, she was a cast member at Walt Disney World performing in the entertainment department. While dancing, Bromann worked at the Wisconsin Athletic Club’s North Shore and Wauwatosa locations as the programming director for more than four years where she had the opportunity to share her enthusiasm for health and fitness.
Bromann is excited to share her passion for creativity, movement, and technique for dance in the Northwoods.
Minocqua Dance would love for those interested in dance and fitness classes to come and join them.
