BJ Lions donate to library
The Boulder Junction Lion's Club gave a generous donation of $2,500 to the Boulder Junction Public Library for the purchase of new materials for the visually challenged. The money will be used to expand the library's audio books on compact disc and large print materials, which are enjoyed by patrons with visual impairment. These materials are quite expensive for the library, so it cannot afford to purchase enough to keep up with patron demand within the current operating budget. The Lion's Club donation will allow the library to expand these collections to satisfy more library patrons and fulfill a need in the community. Pictured, from left, are library board president Eric Johnson, library board treasurer Susan Fehlandt, Lions Club treasurer Otis Voeltz, library director Cherie Sanderson, Lion Club president and Jeff Lucas.
