With the mission of educating, inspiring and entertaining individuals while promoting artistic growth through craft, Eric and Becky Behnke invite you to join in on the creations going on at the Muse Arts and Crafts School in Manitowish Waters.

By bringing to the forefront the abundance of talented artists and crafters throughout the area, Eric Behnke found that Muse brings together one unified marketing vehicle for the artists.

“Many people are offering classes on their own; however, we felt that we could gel all the artists and be more successful by showcasing these classes on one site,” Behnke said. “And also provide venues for the classes to take place.”

From the Northwoods, the Behnke’s have operated other businesses in the area, and primarily want their school to provoke artistic thought and economic prosperity.

“We love Manitowish Waters,” Behnke said. “We want to see the town flourish year-round.”

The Muse hopes to do just that with classes that go year-round and offer fun and exciting projects that suffice when the weather is not cooperating.

Utilizing the area’s artists is another component of what makes Muse special, according to Behnke.

“We have found so many artists and crafters that want to be a part of this business and want to teach classes through school,” Behnke said. “We continue to search for more talented instructors and are really working on marketing the classes we have scheduled.”

When looking at what has made them proud since beginning this artistic venture, Behnke is quick to state the experiences as being most prominent.

“Working with all of the brilliant artists and crafters has been very exciting,” Behnke said. “The business is quickly becoming a destination attracting students from all over the midwest.”
