The Boulder Junction Building and Fundraising Committees are planning a town-wide celebration party for the new community center and library to be held Saturday, Jan. 18.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. with tours of the building. Dinner will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Finish off the night with music and dancing from 6:30-9 p.m. featuring local band, “Big Road.”
The main dish and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided and attendees are asked to donate side dishes potluck style.
The party costs, which include the main dish, supplies and band, will be covered by Friends of the New Community Center.
We are appealing to our local service organizations, as well as individual supporters, to make a monetary donation for the party. We are expecting the costs of the ribbon cutting ceremony, celebration party and spring open house to not exceed $2,000. All monies donated will be deposited in a separate account created specifically for the party, separate from town funds. If any money would happen to be left after all celebrations are complete, it will be donated to the building fund.
Donations can be mailed or dropped off at First Merit Bank in Boulder Junction. Make checks payable to: Boulder Junction Celebration Fund (Acct. # 5050045526), c/o First Merit Bank, P. O. Box 248, Boulder Junction, WI 54512.
