Anniversary of Dillinger shootout: 10 a.m.-noon. The communities in the area will be recognizing the 80th anniversary of the John Dillinger/Baby Face Nelson raid which took place April 22, 1934. The public library in Manitowish Waters will have memorabilia on display. Family members of Carl C. Christensen, the constable who took seven bullets from the gun of the gangsters, will be available to talk with those who attend the event. Please join us for a cup of coffee and reminiscing.
