Chase away the winter blues with Land O' Lakes Arts. The Winter Blues LOLA Fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Lanny's Fireside Restaurant, 5315 Hwy 45 North in Conover, starting at 6 p.m. The cost of tickets is $35. There will be a cash bar, which will include a special blue custom cocktail. Each ticket purchased will include one entrée.

Lanny's will offer three entrée choices for dinner: blue crab stuffed salmon, chicken cordon bleu, or roasted vegetable risotto. All entrees will also include mushroom strudel appetizers, taco soup with blue corn chips, tossed mixed green salad, garlic mashed potatoes with Black River blue cheese, seasonal vegetable, and blueberry napoleon dessert. Appetizers will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

The event will include a jar raffle and a 50/50 raffle to benefit LOLA. Many items featured in the jar raffle offer ways to stay engaged through the winter season, including certificates for LOLA classes, an i-fit fitness tracker with four interchangeable color wristband options, puzzles, gift baskets, and a variety of culinary items.

"It can be hard to when a Wisconsin winter sets in," LOLA fundraising chairperson, Helen Hayhurst said. "It's cold, it's dark, and many people struggle with the 'winter blues.' This event is a great opportunity get out of the house and get together for some cocktails, conversation, and enjoy an amazing dinner to chase away the blues! Best of all, we'll be supporting LOLA at the same time!"

Other featured raffle items include a beautiful blue lapis and sterling silver pendant handmade by Silversmith Dick Barney, adult beverage gift baskets, artwork, hunting knives, and more. Attendees of LOLA's Winter Blues Fundraiser are encouraged to dress in blue for the event.

"Blue jeans, blue gowns, blue hair ... anything is fair game as long as it's blue!" Hayhurst said.

Selection of entrée is required at the time of ticket purchase. Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday, Jan. 16 Tickets are available online at lolaartswi.com, at the LOLA Center for the Arts, and the Artistree Gallery.
