1st Place North American Wildlife and 2018 Artist of the Year — “Good Morning” by Gay Van Pelt.
Help wildlife in need by sharing photos. The Northwoods Wildlife Center is now accepting submissions for its 2018 Photography Contest. Submit your best photos in six categories: North American Wildlife, Naturescapes, Bugs and Blooms, Pets, Trail Camera and Youth (17 years old and under).
Winners of each category will be selected by those who attend and vote for favorite photos at the Northwoods Wildlife Center Photo Gala to be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Campanile Center for the Arts in Minocqua.
The first place winner in the North American Wildlife Category to be the Northwoods Wildlife Center's 2019 Artist of the Year.
Entries may be dropped off or mailed to: Northwoods Wildlife Center, 8683 S. Blumenstein Rd, Minocqua, WI 54548. Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than Feb. 2. This is an amateur contest, entry fee is $10 per photo and there is no limit on the number of photos you can submit.
Photos are to be 8x10 and in a white or cream 11x14 mat, have the photographer's name, address, email address and phone number on back, as well as the category and title of the photo. No framed photos or photos with writing on front will be accepted. Each entry must be labeled with one of the six categories; North American Wildlife, Naturescapes, Bugs and Blooms, Trail Camera, Pets or Youth.
Photos will not be returned by mail, but entries will be available for pickup at Campanile in June following the event. Northwoods Wildlife Center retains the right to use submitted photographs for marketing and promotional purposes.
