Park City Credit Union has announced the hiring of Sarah Smith as business development specialist. Smith will be responsible for building new and existing relationships with small businesses, communities and local stakeholders to ensure a healthy, economically prosperous Northwoods area.
"We are excited to welcome Sarah to the Park City family," Park City's president and CEO Val Mindak said. "Her expertise in driving strong community bonds will help create opportunities for a better quality of life for all who live, work or visit the Northwoods area."
Most recently, Smith served as a marketing and communications specialist with Buyers Express, the leading direct mail magazine for La Crosse, Rochester and surrounding communities. Over the past three years she served as an ambassador and a membership committee member for the La Crosse Chamber of Commerce. Smith was also a member and guest host of the Coulee Referral Connection BNI Chapter, and a volunteer with the Gundersen Medical Foundation.
Smith started her career with Mueller Media Inc. and has held various advertising, marketing and business development positions. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
"I am honored to join an organization that is rich in tradition and is also adventurous, open-minded and celebrates life and the communities they serve," said Smith, who is familiar with small town living, having grown up in Wabasha, Minn. "This credit union has built a positive team with a family spirit. I look forward to playing a part in building dynamic communities in Merrill, Tomahawk, Minocqua and Rhinelander."
