Controlled burn
Firefighters from two Lakeland area fire departments had the opportunity Saturday for some joint training on North Trout Lake in the town of Boulder Junction. Mike Van Meter, fire chief for the town of Arbor Vitae, said firefighters from his department and Minocqua's fire department participated in a "practice burn" at the Doll Lodge on North Trout Lake.
