July 29, The Pines will host the Mercer Education Foundation Mardi Gras. Cajun music and food will fill the venue with raffles as an added enjoyment to cap the evening. The event will run from 6 to 11 p.m. in the garden. The proceeds benefit special learning activities and scholarships at the Mercer School for the students and teachers.

July 30 will be the annual Northwoods Wildlife and Wetlands Clubs annual Gun Show at the Manitowish Waters Community Center. Doors open early and there are many vendors in two buildings for your browsing. Refreshments will be served by the Mercer Lions. It is a super event to attend.
