Save the date: United Methodist Church of the Pines Spring Rummage and Bake Sale on May 11 and 12
The United Methodist Church of the Pines women will be hosting their annual Spring Rummage and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 12 at a new venue the American Legion Hall (121 Front St.) across from the Minocqua Post Office. The sale is a great opportunity to find some unique treasures and bargains, but more important, all proceeds go to missions.

Learn to Quilt class held May 13 and 20
A Learn to Quilt class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, May 13 and 20 at the Hiawatha Clubhouse in Woodruff. The Ladies of the Lakes Quilt Guild will be quilting baby or small quilts in just two days. Learn all the steps and return home with a finished quilt.

Father Daughter Dance held April 28
All area fathers and grandfathers with daughters and granddaughters are invited to the 9th annual Father Daughter dance hosted by Eaglebrook Church in Woodruff. This year's theme is "Saddle Up for a Country Western Hoedown." The dance will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28 at the Arbor Vitae Town Hall on 10675 Big Arbor Vitae Dr. Those attending are encouraged to come in their favorite country and western outfits.

The Lakeland Area Kiwanis Club is now accepting entries for the Get Your K's On run on Saturday, April 29, at the Minocqua Sports Park on Hwy 70 W at 1 p.m. The Get Your K's On Run is a heart-healthy family event raises money for the Kiwanis Autism Projects.

The Boulder Junction Lions Club is proud and honored to host the 28th District 27-C2 Convention at Lake of the Torches Casino Conference Center in Lac du Flambeau on April 21 and 22.
