During 2017, over 13,000 hot nutritious meals were served to older adults throughout the Lakeland area every weekday from the Oneida County Department on Aging (OCDOA) Senior Dining Site located at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff. Participants too frail to attend the dining site receive Meals on Wheels delivery to their home.

Lakeland area fundraising connection to New York City
Ryan Jopek of Merrill was a cavalry scout with the Wisconsin Army National Guard's 32nd Brigade Combat Team. He and the rest of the Second Battalion, 127th Infantry Regiment, were deployed to southwest Asia in August 2005. The following August, when Jopek was two weeks from coming home, he was killed in action by an improvised explosive device that detonated near his HUMVEE outside Tikrit, Iraq, in August 2006, while on a convoy security mission he had volunteered for.

Krist Food Marts team up with MDA
More than 75 Krist Food Marts throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan are uniting to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) free kids and adults from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases that severely weaken muscle strength and mobility by participating in the MDA Shamrocks program running Feb. 12 through March 25. Krist Oil has raised over $123,000 since 2011, and raised over $21,000 in 2017.
