Historic Ironwood Theatre hosts closing ceremony of Smithsonian exhibit

In association with the Smithsonian Museum on Main Street, the National Archives and the Michigan Humanities Council, the Ironwood Downtown Art Place invites everyone in the Northwoods to the closing ceremonies of The Way We Worked Exhibit on Sunday, May 31 at 3 p.m. in the Historic Ironwood Theatre. The ceremony will be  followed by a light reception of coffee, wine and desserts.

This year, to provide some additional fun before the Bark For Life event on August 29, the American Cancer Society is having their first “Yappy Hour: Eat, Drink and Drool” event on Saturday, May 30, from 4-6 p.m. at the Rhinelander Airport’s Oneida County 4-H Club dog park.

On May 16, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the Three Lakes Police Department, Rhinelander Police Department, Minocqua Police Department and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Justice will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
