Robert “Rob” Daniel Lemmer, 50, of Hazelhurst, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident.
Rob was born March 11, 1962, in Tomahawk, the son of Henry and Margaret (Mackiewicz) Lemmer.
Rob married Jodi Burkhamer Aug. 28, 1993, in Sun Prairie. On March 24, 1994, their first child was born, Tyler Connor Lemmer. Then once again God blessed them with another child July 12, 1996, Travis Robert Lemmer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jodi, and was proud father of Tyler and Travis Lemmer and further survived by his parents, Henry and Margaret Lemmer and by his brother, Jeff Lemmer and sister, Sandra (Barry) Lemmer Haff and by his mother-in-law, Patricia Burkhamer and sisters-in-law, Julie (Kevin) Thompson, Jill Krueger, Linda Lemmer and Tammy Lemmer and by brothers-in-law, Jeffrey (Kim) Burkhamer, Paul Krueger and Jeff Taylor.
Rob is blessed with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many awesome friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kenneth Duane Burkhamer.
At this time of year Robert was “getting the itch” for bow season. He also loved ice fishing, where he would outfish everyone else and collecting fish for Fish Fry Friday at the Hodag, which everyone looked forward to. He loved fishing with his father at the honey hole.
Rob’s other passion was deer season with his boys in Hayward with the Daughtery family. He also loved his dogs, Bentley and Taz, along with his cat, Sunny.
Rob was employed by Asplundh for 17 years. For the last 15 years he has been employed by Lakeland Landscaping in Minocqua.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 6 p.m., at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff with a visitation from 4 p.m. Until the time of service. A reception will follow at Hazelhurst Pub.
