Marshall L. Schriner, 100 years old, Woodruff, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Christian Home in Waupun.
A graveside service was held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Garden in the Town of Arbor Vitae, where graveside military rites were conducted by Madsen-Empy Post #89.
Marshall was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Kansas to Albert and Grace (Widup) Schriner. He was a graduate of Hartford High School, Hartford Mich. He married Marjorie Robinson May 15, 1948, at Hartford. Marshall was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a veteran of World War II where he was in the Navy and served in the South Pacific. He worked as a barber and had shops in Hartford and Woodruff. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a master craftsman of woodworking, where he built long bows and arrows.
Marshall is survived by his children, Ramon Schriner of Woodruff and Bonnie (Lance) Taylor of Iron Ridge; his grandchildren, Rebecca Sturwin of Hartford, and Zachary Talarek of Lodi; and by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1995; and his four brothers.
