Glenn A. Sebby, 93, of Lac du Flambeau, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Our Home K-Care in Lac du Flambeau.
He was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Plainfield, Ill., the son of Arthur and Rose Sebby. Glenn was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served in the Navy from 1943-46 during World War II, aboard the USS Enterprise.
On May 16, 1996, he married Patricia Hrabik. Glenn was a member of the American Legion Post 89 of Minocqua and enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lorraine Johnson; second wife, Ann La Rocco; and twin brothers, Wayde and Wayne Sebby.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Patricia Hrabik Sebby; children, Glenette (Bill) Trapp, Carolyn (Steve) Merkler, Joseph Sebby, Norman Sebby and daughter-in-law, Shelly Sebby; step-children, Therese (Frank) Sterzen, Ann (Scott) Peterson, Tony (Kathy) Hrabik, Jennifer (Rodney) Kainer, Mary (David) Bayer and Thomas (Lenell) Hrabik; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Rick and Pam Immler.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 15, 11 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Lac du Flambeau.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau.
