Richard “Dick” Shilt of Woodruff passed away at the Seasons of Life Hospice House Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
He was a veteran of World War II, enlisting in the Air Force in 1943 and serving until 1946. He was a crew member on a B-17 bomber.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Gauthier) Shilt. They owned a home on Fence Lake for many years.
He is survived by his five children, Rick of Eau Claire, Ron of Greenville, Jim (Nancy) of Wausau, Jeff (Marie) of Kaukauna, and Anne (Dan) Quaerna of Janesville; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Andy, Tony, Laura, Rachel, Heather and Heidi; and a sister Ruth (Jim) Hearne of Palos Heights, Ill. He is further survived by a very special friend Brian Baldwin.
According to Dick’s wishes, there will be no services.
Memorials may be directed to either Season of Life Hospice House or One Penny Place, both in Woodruff.
