Sandra Lyn Thruman, 75, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at home.

She was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Freeport, Ill., the daughter of Raymond and Berniece LeBaron.

Sandra married Richard Thruman Feb. 11, 1953, in Freeport by Sandra’s grandfather, Roscoe LeBaron. She enjoyed going to the Padre Islands and she wintered in Mission, Texas, for more than 10 years. Sandra lived on Lake Kegonsa for more than 20 years and moved to Presque Isle in 1991.

She loved the outdoors and was a nature lover, loving critters and bird watching. She loved getting in the paddle boat on Presque Isle Lake and tooling around the shoreline for special treasures for her beautiful, magnificent yard she adorned with her finds.

Sandra’s findings included unique pieces of driftwood and special shaped rocks, which included a heart-shaped rock. She absolutely loved the water. Sandra also loved flowers, fishing, and hunting. She enjoyed nature’s treasures and antiquing with her daughter. Sandra loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved country music and dancing.
