Sharon “mash-ka-gahbo-qua” Wewasson, 68, of Lac du Flambeau passed away at the Howard Young Medical Center Jan. 23, 2014.
She was born in Hayward to Clyde and Sarah Chapman July 2, 1945. She worked at Simpson Electric for many years.
She is survived by her husband, William; six children, Bill (Betty) Wewasson, James (Renee) Wewasson, Lawrence Wewasson, Sherrie (Duane Thunderhawk) Wewasson, Rose (Kenneth Jack) Wewasson and Jeanette (Mark Stone) Chapman; 18 grandchildren, Joshua Mann, Sugar Chapman, Debra Chapman, Adam Jack, Donavon Jack, Alicia Jack, Dale Jack, Amanda Jack, Lloyd Jack, Wm. Wewasson III, Alexis Wewasson, Josie Beson, Patience Mann, Samantha Thunderhawk, Sharon Thunderhawk, Julie Thunderhawk, James Wewasson Jr., and Cierrah Wolfe; three great-grandchildren Ava Cooper, Wm. Wewasson IV and Kamea Wewasson; one brother, Leon Chapman; five sisters, Rosetta Martin, Mary Mann, Dawn Diver, Janet St. Germaine and Louise Wilke; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lyle and Clyde Chapman; and three sisters, Dale Chapman, Marita Chapman and Sweet Pea.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Jan. 28, 11 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau.
Burial will be in the Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at the Lac du Flambeau Multi Purpose Building.
