Beverly Jean Testin of Manitowish Waters passed away Aug. 14, 2014, at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff after a courageous, twelve-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born Jan. 26, 1944, to Paul and Agnes (nee Nowacki) Anklam in Wausau. She was a 1962 graduate of Wausau Senior High School and a 1966 graduate of UW-Madison. After graduation, Bev joined SafeTGard Corporation of Madison, serving as office manager and head of sales. Beverly then embarked on a career in real estate, retiring last year from Century 21 Greater Northwoods in Minocqua after 40 years as a Realtor in the area. Bev served on the board of the Manitowish Waters Alliance for many years.
Bev married Bill on April 4, 1996, on the island of Nevis, West Indies. They split time between their home in Manitowish Waters and Fort Meyers, Fla., residing at Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club. Bev was a member of the Heritage Palms Women’s Golf Assoc. and the Heritage Palms Tennis Assoc.
Bev enjoyed traveling, boating, skiing, and a good game of sheepshead or poker. She was an avid Packer and Badger fan. Bev enjoyed entertaining family and friends, especially on game day.
She is survived by her husband William, a brother Richard (Barbara) Anklam of Wausau, niece Jodi (Matt) Dempsey of Minneapolis, nephew Christopher (Rebecca) Anklam of Wausau and grand nieces McKenna Dempsey and Sophie Anklam.
Funeral services will be on Monday August 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Manitowish Waters Community Church. Visitation will be two hours prior the service, 9-11 a.m. on Monday at the church. Entombment will be on Tuesday August 19, 2014, 11 a.m. at Restlawn Cemetery in Wausau.
