Rudolph J. Valenta Jr., 69, Manitowish Waters, passed away at his residence Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., July 1, 1944, to Rudolph and Irene Valenta Sr. He graduated from Morton West High School in Berwyn, Ill., in 1962. He entered the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in 1968. He was past president of the Litho Club in Chicago and Manitowish Waters Lion of the Year. Rudy loved music and his Cordovox. He played in the U.S. Air Force Tops and Blues, a band and at community events.
He is survived by his wife, Charella; two sons, William “Bill” (Gretchen) and Steven (Samantha); granddaughter Aubrianna; and one brother, Michael (Barbara) Valenta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2 p.m., at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Manitowish Waters. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to the Manitowish Waters Lions Club.
