Mercer School Board Vice President Edward Alvey has lost a re-election bid after garnering the fewest votes in Tuesday’s primary.
Alvey was among a five-person pool of candidates for the school board.
Here is an unofficial rundown of the vote count, according to Mercer Town Clerk Christan Brandt:
Micki Pierce-Holmstrom (incumbent): 198
Paul Juske: 186
Noel Brandt: 180
Tanner Hiller: 174
Edward Alvey: 138
Electors in the district were to vote for up to two candidates.
Pierce-Holmstrom, Hiller, Brandt and Juske will advance to the spring election in April. They will be vying for two seats on the school board.
