The line of strong thunderstorms that pushed through the area this morning left about 5,400 customers without power.
Leah Van Zile, community relations leader with Wisconsin Public Service, said, "We have received many calls of trees on wires and wires down. All available crews have been dispatched and restoration efforts are underway.
As of 10 a.m. this morning, here are the outage numbers:
Rhinelander - 3,300 customers out
Tomahawk - 1,370 customers out
Minocqua - 190 customers out
Eagle River - 560 customers out
"We have called in additional crews to help with restoration efforts." Van Zile said.
