The Eagle River Police Department announced Monday the release into the community on Oct. 23 of convicted sex offender 40-year-old Christopher Hyatt.
According to the release issued by Eagle River Police Chief Mark Vander Bloomen, Hyatt was to be released from prison and will be returning to the Eagle River-Vilas County community where he was a resident at the time of his conviction in May 1998.
Hyatt is to be released to the state’s Community Supervision program and supervised by agents of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections – Probation and Parole Office in Eagle River. He will remain on supervision until Oct. 23, 2022.
Hyatt is also to be placed on the Intensive Supervision and Electronic Monitoring Program. He is also required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for life.

Hyatt was convicted in 1998 of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old female relative.
