Hundreds made a resolution to begin their New Year’s Eve festivities in Woodruff.
The Red Hot Fun Celebration was held Monday, Dec. 31, with festivities starting at 3 p.m., at the Town Hall.
The inside of the hall warmed up at 5 p.m. as the Woodruff Volunteer Fire Department presented the Red Hot Fun Chili Feed with chili, hot dogs, hot chocolate, hot cider and cold milk.
Live music was provided by Reunited and accompanied those at the feed between 5 and 7 p.m. Proceeds raised will benefit the Woodruff Beautification Fund.
Families and friends enjoyed the outdoors, though temperatures plummeted as the night went on. There was ice skating, sledding and the warmth of the bonfire all behind the town hall, in front of the fire station – a great spot from which to view the fireworks show which got started a bit late at around 7:30 p.m.
The Red Hot Fun New Year Celebration was sponsored by the Town of Woodruff and the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce.
The fireworks lasted approximately 15 minutes; leaving the rest of the evening free for those who wished to celebrate with friends at any of many fine local establishments.
