Four individuals were injured, one of them critically, as the result of a two-vehicle collision Friday morning on U.S. Highway 51 near the Trout Lake Golf Course.
According to the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department, all four victims were injured when a 1992 Plymouth Voyager minivan rear-ended a 2007 Honda CR-V. The injured were transported by ambulance to Howard Young Medical Center.
The critically injured individual was then flown by Spirit Air helicopter to another facility.
Specific details of the accident and the names of those involved have not yet been released.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating the cause of the accident.
