The Wisconsin Department of Transportation provided the following updated information:
• Utility relocation work by Wisconsin Public Service and Frontier Communications continues.
• Crews began installation of the temporary traffic signals at the intersections of Hwy. 51 and State Highway 70 West and Hwy. 51 and County Highway J. The temporary traffic signals are expected to be operational about April 11.
• Crews plan to begin removal of vacated buildings near Packing Plant Road. These operations are expected to begin the week of April 7.
Storm sewer work is expected to begin April 7 and water main work is expected to begin April 14. These operations are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
Motorists can expect to encounter a minimum of a single lane in each direction during most of the work. At times, traffic may be reduced to a single lane with flagging operations. Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work zone and should plan for delays.
