Jed M. Travis, 33, Weston, was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday, July 19, on Highway 8 in the town of Woodboro.
Minutes before 5:30 p.m., the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a reckless motorcycle driving westbound on Highway 8 in the town of Woodboro. At 5:30 p.m., the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received numerous 911 calls of a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Highway 8 near Birch Bay Road.
Travis was the only person involved in the accident, and he was flown by Spirit Air to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield for treatment of injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Oneida County Ambulance-Medic 4, Woodboro First Responders, Crescent Fire Department, Crescent First Responders, and Nokomis Fire Department.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the traffic accident.
