A majority of the Oneida County Board on Tuesday said a proposal to allow flat-roof boathouses needs more consideration.
At a special December meeting, supervisors sent the proposal back to the county planning and development committee.
The committee could reassess the idea of allowing flat-roof boathouses, as well as another proposal to restrict boathouses from 35 feet of the ordinary high water mark.
The county board has been considering whether to allow flat-roof boathouses since August, but a vote on the measure has been delayed since then for numerous reasons.
